Orchard Road @SM Megamall
Got a voucher worth P1,000 pesos at 50% off from Clever Buy (i read somewhere that this group buying site is now closed).
Orchard Road is a famous shopping district at Singapore. Been to Lucky Plaza, Wisma Atria, Tang Plaza and other malls I forgot the names back in 2009.

I came here with my mom and 2 cousins, we had an early dinner around 7pm. It’s been my a while since I went to SM Megamall so I had to ask several people where is the actual location. When we arrived it was quite deserted, maybe since it was a weekday night.
I presented my voucher and they gave us the menu, but not everything is available or can be availed by the voucher. For one, all the drinks cannot be availed. So we just had to try those who are on the OK list as not to waste the voucher.
Chicken Satay
Malaysian Nasi Goreng
Spring Rolls
Hokkien Mae
(not on the picture Lemon Chicken, Sweet and Sour Fish)
I was never a fan of Singaporean foods, and this experience didn’t change my stand. Among the food ordered, only the Malaysian Nasi Goreng was commendable.

i think their food is somewhat similar to us… i like the singaporean char kway teo sumtin
vouchers really come in handy especially if you have no idea what to give a person as a gift, and i alse get vouchers thru blogging events and they are good as cash because i get to buy food or stuff that i want and needed….i havent been to megamall in a week haha.
I still haven’t tried eating at Orchard Road in SM Megamall, but I got to experience authentic Singaporean food in SG over a year ago. Love the food offerings at SG’s food republic stations. Guess I’ll need to try Singaporean restos in the Metro to find out how it compares..
seems the Hokkien Mae looks interesting hope palatable as well….
I am not familiar with Singaporean food but their’s are almost similar to Korean and Indonesian food ,I guess.Nasi Goreng is looks delish.
I’ve seen this place at MegaMall and I’ve never tried it. I have to say they don’t make it look inviting, but I had high hopes for the food.
ooh, yummy treats but i have not tried any malaysian food, korean though is one of my fave.
The photos of the food you ate made me hungry!
The foods look similar to some Pinoy dishes. But the price I believe is too expensive.
Good thing your cleverbuy voucher is still usable!
About the food, it looks yummy and tempting. I think me and the whole family must visit the place and try them out for our own experience.
I love Singaporean foods but I think those on the photos are boring and expensive. Spring rolls wont cost 100 pesos for me.
And yung chicken satay, hindi mukhang 135 pesos. (Or maybe I am just thinking na everything is expensive)I hope they really have a good service.
I wanted to try Orchard Road, I was in Mega kanina eh. Buti nalang I didn’t since your photos tell it all.
i agree. Orchard road is a no-no for me too!
I haven’t tried Orchard yet, I thought it would be delicious there but I have to think twice on trying that out.
Looks like you really didn’t like Singaporean food. Sayang. I love it and would have enjoyed dining here.
is it spicy? i like Hainanese delights so far, and the spicy set I ate at Ang Mok Kio sometime last month. I want to try Orchard Road for myself and see if it will appeal to my taste buds.
aren’t some of the plates too big para sa ulam ? hehehe
anyway, gusto ko ung Malaysian Nasi Goreng @_@ looks really good
I agree…I think I lost 5 pounds when I went to Singapore for 4 days in 2010…heheheh
I’m a chicken rice person. Try that! You may like it. But choose a place that sells a really good version like Nasi Lemak in Robinson’s Galleria. =)
