Lately, I was able to widen my taste bud to Indian and Pakistani foods (courtesy of my friends), so I will be featuring a few on this blog.
Our recent get-away was Student Biryani.
Originally in Pakistan, it opens its first branch in Dubai particularly in Karama.
As the name suggests, it offers Biryani – a traditional Indian/ Pakistani rice-based food made with basmati rice, spices (lots of) and either beef, mutton, chicken, vegetable or eggs.
And so we (four ladies) ordered:
1 Chicken Biryani
1 Mutton Biryani
1 Chicken Karahi
2 Naan (round bread)
The verdict:
Very spicy! The food is tasty but our mouth went numb, and to think we ordered a medium spiced dish.
The price is affordable, we just pinched in 19AED each but if you will compare it with other Indian/ Pakistani Restaurants it is a little bit more expensive.
Also, the staffs are not that friendly and accomodating.
My friends and I promised not to come back again. We’ll try some other places instead.

Extremely arrogant staff for a biryani joint!!!!!
Delivered our food after three hours, discounted it for the delay and apparently they have a list which we went in for complaining because of which they wont deliver to us in the future!!!!!
seriously not worth anybodys while…i am sure we will find another biryani joint to eat!!!!wont starve
